Question regarding Analog Shift Registers / Intellijel Shifty

I was looking at getting Shifty from Intellijel, but then saw hemisphere for O_C has an ASR feature built in as well. I'm only semi-sure of how these work, but I'd like to talk about my idea in using it and maybe someone could give me some insight on which module would work best for me.

My idea is to create a sequence using my Beatstep Pro, and then have certain notes from that sequence go to different oscillators. My understanding is that usually ASR's shift the sequence note by note?

It seems that in the new firmware version of Shifty there's a way to send a trig/gate to the module telling it when you'd like it to 'shift' to the next oscillator out. So I could potentially use a drum track from the BSP to sequence which notes go to which oscillators.

I don't want it to be 'stepped' in order or random, I want to have one pitch CV going in, 2-4 going out to different oscillators, and full control over which notes hit different oscillators.

Which module is best for this if it's even possible at all?

Thanks all!
