Vortex Sound Research

Hi all, I recently just got the bassline by erica synths and i absolutely love it. I noticed reading the manual (and experiencing it myself) for the VCA envelope it says “full CW setting will open the VCA even when gate is not present”.

I’m still fairly new in the modular world, but would a VCA modular resolve this? I like opening the vca envelope on the bassline but whenever it’s a quarter to fully clock wise, the envelope is completely open and just kinda oscillates.

I’d like to sequence the bassline with the envelope finitely open but not with the like droney filler in between each note.

So back to my og question.. would having a VCA between my varigate 8+ and the bassline resolve this? Thank you! Here’s a picture of my setup
