I've got an Alesis Ion i've had sitting at my parents house from years ago I'd like to get back in working order. It turns on and plays but it has a few issues, the volume knob crackles and doesn't seem to get to max volume, theres also a lot of random ghost button presses and all knobs don't really go from 0-100 smoothly, they jump around/get stuck quite a bit.
It was covered in dust so I'm hoping maybe if i open it up and clean it out and spray the pots with contact cleaner it'll fix most of these issues, just curious if anyone has any experience with this synth.
Also lastly I tried getting the last firmware but the alesis website doesn't even have the ion listed anywhere anymore, am I out of luck? or is there somewhere to find it on the internet?
