I'm looking for a comparison chart that lays out the similarities and differences between the popular VST synths out there - at least those like Omnisphere or Massive etc. that do a lot of things and aren't just say only a MiniMoog emulation (which is obviously going to be different from a DX7 emulation).
Like is it virtual analog, or sample based, or both, how many oscillators there are, filter types, etc.
Most comparisons are based on sound, or sometimes a video comparing a sawtooth wave in all of them, and others are based on what styles people use them for or are just "my favorite".
IOW, I know that all of them can be used for pretty much anything but maybe if something doesn't include FM synthesis while another does, that could be a reason to consider one over the other for example.
If you don't know of a chart, if you just want to list what you know about ones you've used that could be helpful - and for that, personal feelings are OK too.
