Greetings I am mainly a guitarist/bassists who has dived deep into the world of synthesizers. I’ve been acquiring and learning on a hand full of synths and finally got abelton and would like some advice on how everyone else goes upon linking and setting up their rig for the daw. I’m currently running with the arturia key step as my main sequencer running the cv out into the drumbrute in,from the keystep midi out I run into a midi split box that then hits my novation peak, Korg wave state, model d, and ms20 mini, I also have the bass station 2 connected to the midi thru of the peak. From here I am wondering what would be the best way to send all my midi information from the synths to abelton along with sending midi information back to the synths from the daw. I am using the tascam model 24 as my main mixer which sends individual channels to the daw. My plan is to use either my launch key or launch pad to write midi notes in abelton to trigger my synths or drum machines; or be able to play my synths and record the midi information if needed. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
