Losing Memory (Patches/Patterns) from Multiple Hardware Devices??

I lost memory on my Prophet Rev 2 and Arturia Drumbrute at the same time. I'm wondering if others have seen anything like this happen before - I'm looking for theories or past experience on what might have happened.

  • Prophet Rev 2: my user presets all were reset back to the factory
  • Drumbrute: all patterns, both factory and ones I had edited were erased
  • I don't know exactly when this happened - I suppose there is a one or two day window
  • They are connected to cakewalk sometimes over laptop using USB - wondering if there is anyway some weird command could have been sent out
  • They are connected to SL MK3 over midi all the time - again wondering if there is anyway some weird command could have been sent out.
  • I have several devices plugged into a powered ~10 port USB hub (basically always plugged in), and then I connect and disconnect that USB hub to my laptop for cakewalk (or other software like the midi control center for Arturia).
  • I do not take any special care when disconnecting USB.
  • I do not take any special care when powering down.
  • I do have a tendency to sometimes leave the devices on overnight from time to time and I believe that was the case here.
  • I don't know of any power outages - we did not have any clocks lose their time over this time period.
  • I'm new to this - I've had this hardware for maybe a month.
