Best solution for more USB - CV inputs? (Ableton CV Tools User)

I use Ableton + CV tools with my modular.

My audio device is currently the NI Komplete Audio 6, which has DC-coupled ins / outs. I want more CV outs. I like doing digital utility work, sending digital LFOs & envelopes to analog hardware via USB-CV.

Expert Sleepers seems to be routinely recommended for this, but I have some concerns. I'm listing 4 devices that exemplify current USB - CV options:

  • Doepfer A-190 USB/MIDI to CV/Gate Interface converts USB / MIDI to CV.

Limits the CV to note, pitch, velocity, control. No ability to send LFO or envelope.

  • Expert Sleepers ES-3 Lightpipe to CV Interface converts ADAT to CV.

My interface does not have ADAT. The Komplete Audio 6 has S/PDIF. Has anyone successfully converted S/PDIF to ADAT with an adapter?

  • Expert Sleepers ES-8 USB Audio Interface converts USB to CV.

The ES-8 is an audio interface itself, but I'm not aware of the ability to use two interfaces in Ableton simultaneously. I'm assuming the ES-8 would replace the Komplete Audio 6 in my case.

I don't want to route my other standalone synths and monitors through my modular to Ableton. I just want USB - CV conversion.

  • Manikin Electronic CV-DAC-8 converts USB to CV

This seems to be my only option (for 8 DC-coupled outs). But there aren't many modules like this. Are there any other recommendations for the exact functionality?

Thank you for reviewing and for any amount of advice.
