Advice for a generative/ambient style rack!

Hello! I'm a total beginner and I'm working on building out my first rack- I definitely wanna move in the direction of generative and ambient. I did some research and settled on a Mutable Instruments Plaits, Clouds, Make Noise Maths, and Intellijel Quad VCA to get started. I already had an Arturia Beatstep Pro to use for sequencing and stuff. All the bits arrived throughout the past week and I've been having a wonderful time exploring them, but I want to take the textural and generative possibilities a little further- eventually I'd like to phase out the Beatstep and just let the rack run itself.

I think my next move is a Mutable Instruments Marbles, along with a 4ms Listen Four so I can take advantage of the Cloud's stereo output. Does anyone have any other recommendations for this kind of build? Would some combo of noise + sample and hold + quantizer be beneficial? Also curious if a clock divider would suit my needs and help create some interesting events. I'm also interested in introducing field recordings and other samples into the rack.

In my research I feel like I'm overlooking utilities as well- am I missing any essentials? Please hit me with any and all recommendations!
