Yet Another Sequencer Question

I currently own the Nerdseq with all the expansion modules, and it's just not working for me. I've never used a tracker and in my head time flows from left to right like every modern DAW.

i also have an Intellijel Metropolis and while it is a great module for exploring and finding new things, it's just hard to justify a one track sequencer taking up 34 HP. I know they're releasing the expanded Metropolix, but not sure it would fit my needs.

I mainly do ambient with a lot of generative patches based on Marbles, Plaits and Rings. I think it would be nice to record the CV from Marbles when I've found something nice into a sequencer to save my "Happy Accidents."

As I understand it, the Erica Synths Black Sequencer can do this. Just wondering if anyone that has spent time with this sequencer could give me the pros and cons of it. Specifically how is the quantizer?

One thing that really attracted me to the Nerdseq was two channels of sample sequencing, so I would lose that, but I have a Disting EX that pretty much covers providing great samples and I often use it with a Linnstrument 128 into an Expert Sleepers FH-2.

Any advice would be appreciated.
