Jaspers Stand / Rack questions for owners

I've been eyeing and saving up for a Jaspers stand for many months now. I've done tons of research and read all kinds of previous threads about them on this subreddit. They sound awesome and exactly what I need, but I still have a few questions to help me decide on which one to buy. Here in the US, I wish there was a local retailer than carried them and it was possible to see them in person at a store... but as many of you know the best bet for anyone in the US is to order from Thomann, so I just want to be sure I'm making the right choice before pulling the trigger. Dealing with a return would be a real pain considering.

Questions:

  1. I have an 88-key Korg SV1 which I primarily use as my keyboard for piano practice since I live in a small city apartment and a real piano wouldn't make sense. It has a nice music holder attachment which is convenient for sheet music, holding a metronome, iPad, notepads etc. I do not use this keyboard to actually record but I would say it's my primary practice and writing tool. Anyway point is I was intending to consolidate this with all my synths on one huge rack – I was looking at 170-4-150B and adding the optional wheels. Technically this would fit the SV1 in terms of width and weight, but I'm starting to realize there would be no way I could prop up sheet music or note pads, could I? I'm open to attachment that allows me to swing an iPad or something in front of me but I'm fearing this won't be ergonomic at all. So maybe it's best to just leave the SV1 where it is and use the Jaspers only for my actual synths? Plus this one is really huge otherwise. Anyone have experience with this specific rack, or trying to use sheet music while sitting at a Jaspers? Would it be worth trying or no?
  2. Alternatives if I just go for a synth-only stand, I don't need that much width. Plus I don't prefer the rack versions, the normal a-frames look much sleeker IMHO. The biggest synth I have is 49-key (but you never know in the future). I was looking at the 4S-140B or the 4R-150B which has wheels for adding convenience (but is it worth about an extra $150?!? I don't plan on moving about behind there all that often.)
  3. But then now I'm wondering if maybe a 5-tier would be a wiser investment? I would fill out 4-tiers immediately, but being a long-term investment I wonder if having an extra tier would be smart should I add another synth... no current plans but you know how it goes. Wink But then my problem with the 5-tier versions is most photos appear to have that bottom one practically on the ground. But I've seen a few where it's a few feet up – so I'm confused how the height adjustment works? Can you have the bottom tier at the height where you can play it from a piano stool?
  4. Lastly, I've seen a lot of people say it's best to go for the XL version because you can get greater height between each tier. This sounds ideal and while I'm not tall, I have a well-intregrated midi-DAW setup so I don't mind having some of my smaller synths high up even if I need to get on a stool. But the XL appears to only come in 4-tier versions. I read that you can buy extra tiers from Jaspers later, but how does that work? If I buy an extra synth, later on, could I really add a 5th tier?
  5. Worse comes to worse, if I need to change or upgrade later on, what's the resale like this in the US? I haven't seen any on ebay, reverb, or craigslist. Curious if I could even sell it later if I have to.

Sorry for so many questions but the stand plus the extra arms and shipping are all just so expensive... so it's a big decision. Thanks for anyone who can help me decide!
