Any tips for beginners?

Hello everyone. Let's start by saying I am a full beginner. I have bought a Korg volca keys and I use it with a midi keyboard (Roland ED PC-160A). I have two questions: 1 do you have any tips for someone who has ZERO musical experience? Like some tips for how to make a decent sound (I have tried to make some and I have to say they came out pretty good, but maybe I should hear what someone who knows more than me has to say)

2 sometimes the Roland keyboard doesn't sound exactly like on the volca keys, like sometimes it sounds very low even if is at full volume and after trying to play the same key a couple of times it starts to sound like the volca keys. What can I do to solve the problem? Maybe the keyboard is just too old tho

Anyway thanks to anyone who will reply, sorry if I sound like an ignorant, like maybe I am writing to the wrong r/ since I don't have like a "traditional" synthesiser
