I have a Korg Monologue and then I got a Mopho so now I have 2 synths. I thought, “Great! Now I can make a song using both, perhaps with the monologue on bass and the Mopho on lead, or vice versa”.
But, whenever I try to play them together I find that it doesn’t sound good. Each on their own sounds great, but together they seem to conflict no matter which presets I select or what sounds or adjustments I try to make.
Is this to be expected? Or do I just need to try harder?
I think they are in tune. When I put both on an initialize patch and play the same note on each at the same time it sounds fine and just slightly detuned.
Are these two like oil and water? If so, what other synths sound good with the Monologue? And which sound good with the Mopho?
It’s almost as if the Monologue is kind of nasal and the Mopho is too bright and they just don’t go together.
