I have been producing music for years and years. I use Propellerheads Reason, and went down the rabbit hole of Rack Extensions and VSTs. Which I now look at as money I could have spent to get started on the path of modular.
I'm at a point where sitting at my computer and building sytnh patches virtually feels like a chore and has lost its charm. I love the explorative nature of modular, and I feel like it would send my creativity through the roof and re spark something that I feel I have somewhat lost.
My dream is to create somewhat generative, granular soundscapes that I can then elaborate on in Reason if inspiration prompts me to do so.
But financially since the pandemic I can only laugh at the prices of modules and sadly close my browser and move on, but I find myself thinking about it all the dam time, and then re opening my browser and repeating the process again.
