Vortex Sound Research

Hi all, quick question: can a synthesizer such as the Prophet 5 put out volume at a sufficient level to be “heard” and manipulated by eurorack modules, or do they need to be boosted to be heard? I know eurorack runs “hot,” but not much more lol.
