Can a Behringer D and a Korg SQ-1 so similar things as the DFAM?

Hello!
I sold a few of my old Magic cards and I want to use the money to buy a synth. My original plan was to get a Behringer D and an Arturia Keystep to play it, but watching a bunch of Moog DFAM videos has got me pretty into it's sound. I still want to pick up a Behringer D, but I wonder if I could get sone of tge functionality of the DFAM by pairing it with an SQ-1?
One 8 step sequencer would control pitch and the other could control the other CV parameters, but would it get anywhere close?
I know the DFAM has significantly more control with it's patch bay, but I wonder if you could mimic the non-patched base sound???
