I am building my first modular rig soon and trying to approach how I will connect the synth to Ableton. I would like to quantize the notes from my DAW and essentially have it be an integrated part of my workspace. From what I have read and some other friendly advice from people on this sub, I have come to the conclusion I will need to get a new interface with ADAT and pair it with an Expert Sleeper ES3 and 5.
I came across the Behringer U-Phoria UMC1820 for a reasonable $280. Controversy of Behringer aside, will this work with the ES3/5 to integrate into Ableton and CV Tools? I do not see that it has DC-coupling but is that needed if I am using ADAT?
Excuse my ignorance as I am in my early stages of research and want to make sure I am not needlessly spending money so any advice would be greatly appreciated -- let me know if I can clarify anything. Thank you very much!
