Advice on which modules to pair with Maths

I am starting to build my eurorack system, and I got a great deal on a Maths module. I am not looking to build an entire system to start, but would like to really learn just three other modules to pair with it before expanding. I am not sure what direction I want to take my modular, so I would like for my "core" to be semi open ended.

Some basic building blocks I am considering are an oscillator (Make Noise STO, ALM MCO, Noise Reap Paradox, maybe Plaits), a sequencer / clock (Rene, Pams, Tempi, Wogglebug), and possibly a filter and a VCA stack.

Which basic module "categories" would allow me to learn the most about Maths and modular synthesis in general? I am not looking to make insane sounds and soundscapes right off the bat, but instead want a small set up that I can learn completely before I think about adding something else.

Edit: would maths, wogglebug, and plaits be a good start? Or maths, wogglebug, STO, Vca
