Hardware synth noob looking for options

Hi,

I'm looking into hardware synths just to play dawless for fun and make sounds with more hands-on control before launching Ableton.

I initially wanted to make a solid smaller setup to play around dawless, like a Digitakt, minilogue XD and a Blofeld perhaps but now I'm actually considering just picking a main synth I'll use for actual playing, like a Prologue 16 which seems just up my street and then expanding later.

I can even stretch to a Prologue 16 + a Blofeld Keys since I've got a good deal on that in mint condition. Or maybe something other in a similar price bracket but I can just stay with the Pro 16 on its own for now. Considered Prologue 8 but I'd think I'd really benefit from more voices and 61 keys since I have some piano basics and it also opens up more possibilities with voice stacking etc.

I mainly make dub techno/ambient as a hobby and some other electronic genres for fun, I'm not a sound design expert at all so I think something as clearly laid out as a Prologue would be a great way to dip my toes. Below is the teaser for my last EP, just to give an idea:

I'll add a Digitakt a few months down the line, probably.

Also happy to be talked into cheaper gearSmile

Thanks in advance!
