Just wanted to say I am not a synthesizer expert, I don't know much about synthesizers so I am hoping to get some quality advice here.
Im a film/tv/media composer and I am wanting to use more synthesizers in my pieces to merge with my orchestral sounds. I own a few synths and the one I commonly use is Zebra 2. Most of my extent for using zebra 2 is finding a preset and trying to change it with the little understanding I have.
From my own personal experience, I find I am better at using hands-on equipment and Think I should try and see if there are any appropriate synthesisers for me.
The reason I got Zebra was reading reviews saying it was versatile so The first aspect I would want is its versatility. If anyone knows any commonly used synthesizers in films, tv, trailers or ads please let me know too. My Budget is around 1000USD too and I'm not too fussed if it's a rack, desktop or even second hand.
As I said at the beginning of the post, I am new and basic with my synth understanding so if there are any questions you would like me to answer please ask away.
