Hi there. I’m new to synths, looking to buy my first one. Really like the look of the korg monologue. The sound, oscilloscope and even just the look of it are why I want it. Also my friend had one a few years ago and misses it. Been looking around for deals - seeing used ones for as low as £250 but also as high at £290 yet new ones for only £360. I know that when buying stringed instruments like guitars, it’s almost always best to go for second hand as even if there are issues with electronics, they can be fixed fairly easily eg pickup replacement, jack input replacement. Just wondering what your thoughts are on getting new vs second hand and if a 6+ year old synth is likely to go wrong and your thoughts on me buying used vs second hand. Also if you can, any sub £500 poly synths you would recommend just so I can have a look around….. Cheers
