Advice/help - finetuning my first modular rig

I've been lurking for a pretty long time and I'm finally ready to join and dive into my first modular rig ! Recently picked up a Waldorf Kb37 for a good price so I figured it would make a good start as it is also a controller and has some built-in utilities. I would, however, like to expand in the future, but I think it's good to start small. Smile

I currently have these modules in mind: https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/1977635

I am mainly interested in making a mix of ambient (drones/textures over which I want to play my bass/flute plus adding/processing field recordings) as well as techno (leftfield/industrial). Obviously this is not feasible with just one row of 107HP but I would like to gather as much ingredients as possible that also mesh well together for now. Additionally, I already own a Pulsar 23 which can also do drum duties and provide additional sound/modulation sources. I also don't mind continuing things in my DAW for now such as programming drum patterns and arranging. My main goal is to make a small system which can provide inspiration/controlled randomness and sound design.

I'm really on the fence about the Bitbox. I definitely want sampling, but maybe it would be better to wait till I have a bigger rack and just get the full-sized version. Edit: decided to wait with sampling and added a Doepfer quad VCA.

I would really appreciate any advice/input you guys have, thanks ! Smile
