Easy way to start/stop clock sync for various synths from a central device?

Hello,

I own mostly Arturia gear which tends to have great sequencers, so I would like to use these sequencers rather than my Electribe 2 (rather basic sequencer) to control the Arturia devices.

Now if I put the Microfreak in ARP mode, then it is easy to make it start/stop by sending notes (or stop sending) from the Electribe 2 track to it. But then, if I want to use the Microfreak in SEQ mode, it starts playing when it gets a clock signal and stops playing when it stops getting a signal (as it should). Same goes for my DrumBrute Impact (except it has no ARP mode).

What I would like to do is to be able to stop the MicroFreak from playing by just hitting a pad. Same thing for my DrumBrute. The very same way I can stop the kick drum from playing on my DrumBrute by hitting the Kick pad when in mute mode. Ideally, I would like these pads to be on the same device/controller.

The goal is to be able to start/stop all or some of the synths (playing patterns based on their own SEQs) in a convenient way rather than hitting the start/stop button on each synth.
