im basically looking for a sampler that has the ability to just store samples on it, possibly full song backing tracks and really nothing more. im very comfortable with my daw so i have no interest in picking up a sampler such as the 1010 blackbox which ive seen recommended a ton for minimalist samplers because im not looking to edit samples and make songs on a sampler, i basically am just looking for a lil box that functions as an audio player that i can use a midi controller or pads on the unit to simply just play sounds that ive already made to trigger certain parts in my bands live set or do little loop jams for fun. i would like to avoid using my computer or an ipod for live sample triggering, i really like the size and simplicity of the mpx8 but i was hoping to find something with more slots on a sample bank than just 8 and have also heard a ton of bad things about that unit. my apologies if im being picky, just trying to find something that fits my needs without paying for a bunch of features that i wont use!
