Midi/CV reset latency?

Hey there,
i am using a Doepfer A-190-8 to sync my modular case to my Octatrack via MIDI. When patching the reset out to my sequencer's reset in, the sequencer does reset as expected, but it is introducing a delay/latency of around 50ms, which is quite a lot. Is that normal or am I missing something?
