Vortex Sound Research

Hey there. I recently picked up a Rev2. It’s rad. Only thing is, I only want to work with 2 synths in a live setting. Prior to acquiring the Rev2, I was playing a sub phatty and ESQ-1 for my live playing.

Question is : If I picked up a Minitaur, could I use the Rev2 to play it without having any sounds in the Dave Smith sounding? Still really like the Moog filter, etc. Can this be done in a way where I could switch back and forth between playing the Rev2 and Minitaur relatively quickly? I’m a noob when it comes to MIDI.

To clarify: I only want to use 2 keyboards. I understand adding a rack synth totals 3 synths.
