Vortex Sound Research

For a while I was forced to go on hiatus from playing, and I wasn't that experienced to begin with. So, I'm having issues with good practice habits... What do you do and what would you recommend for me? Besides practicing every day... I understand that is a given.

I was thinking of covering some songs (like some stuff off the album Pretty Hate Machine) just for the sake of practice but that doesn't always appeal to me.

I have a Yamaha MX49 and Korg Minologue if that's of any help.
