I've recently moved away from computer recording with Logic. And, I have an MX-1 mixer.
On it are three instruments:
Deluge, Deepmind 12, and TB-3.
I have ordered a MIDI Splitter that is NOT dependent on the computer at all. The Deluge is the clock.
My question, because I am waiting on some equipment, is with plugging my MX- mixer into the computer, will I be able to do more than just record my work in Audacity?
In other words, can I use Logic to record each instrument separately? What about the MIDI notes as well?
FYI The MIDI Splitter that I am waiting on does not have a USB connection. So, in order to have my MIDI connections realized on the computer (and since the Deluge is the clock), would I want to plug the Deluge into the computer instead of the MX-1?
EDIT: I am wondering whether I need to plug the Deluge into the computer or the MX-1 into the computer (to recognize my MIDI connections)?
