Is anybody else's Jupiter Xm really buggy?

I noticed that even after a few firmware updates my Jupiter Xm is still really hard to work with because of the bugs. A few examples:

Sometimes scenes/model banks/parts will carry over previous FX settings when they shouldn't

Sending MIDI data over USB will play on the first attempt, then disable the Xm's audio entirely on attempts made after that - largely requiring a reboot

Editing certain model banks - e.g. SH-101 - by lowering the PW level whilst raising the Saw level will, under certain circumstances, render the PW level permanently on despite your attempts to lower it

Don't get me wrong I'm loving the way the Jupiter Xm sounds and it's mostly ok, but I'm trying to make music and just drowning in a sea of glitches. Like imagine buying a synth with USB MIDI capabilities, setting up your DAW in Logic, pressing play and hearing your synths sounds on the first playback but on none of the playbacks after that. It's enough to make someone want to pull their hair out. I've even had patches that I saved come up "unknown data"... It's infuriating :/

submitted by /u/sumgai632
[link] [comments]
