Expert sleepers Es-8 as main recording interface?

I currently don't have a good sounding recording solution, so I'm thinking about either getting a regular audio interface, or getting an Expert Sleepers ES-8.

My question is, and I couldn't really find a good answer before:

Is it possible to, besides modular signals, record guitar through the ES-8? I'm willing to use software to beef up the guitar sound of course, but my worry is that it just works for modular level signals, which would kinda limit the ES-8 in it's use cases. I do however really like the idea of the extra CV routing the ES-8 offers. I know there's ES-3 as well, but that would require me to buy two devices and I'm kinda on a budget right now.

Thanks guys.

submitted by /u/icekan
[link] [comments]
