Question: Medusa vs Monostation

So, I was thinking about getting an Argon 8 for awhile now, when a Medusa totally caught my eye and was the right price. I’ve realized that my main attraction to the argon 8 were the wavetables and mod matrix and modulation algorithms. However I’ve wanted a grid controller for sometime. I was going to eventually snag a monostation for use as a bass synth as well as grid controller after picking up the argon 8, but I went with the Medusa.

although the modulation isn’t as deep on the Medusa, it seems to kill 2 birds with one stone. Analog oscillators, and wavetable oscillators. Only 3 of each, but Medusa’s grid is compatible with MPE. As is my MicroMonsta.

I’ve never fucked with MPE, so I don’t know how much of a game changer that is going to be. But have I made a terrible mistake?

Tl;dr: does the circuit mono station have mpe?

And which would be a better combo? MicroMonsta and Medusa? Or argon 8 and circuit monostation?

submitted by /u/mc_froski420
[link] [comments]
