Minibrute 2 or Digitone?

Hi guys. I am looking to expand my current music production setup with my first hardware synth. The only thing I have right now is Xfer Serum and Ableton live, but I'd like to get more away from the screen, and to expand my sound pallette.

I've looked at the Minibrute 2, and I think it sounds really good. I also like the patchbay and all the possibilities it opens up. On the other hand, the Digitone is probably a better standalone unit, and sounds like it is way more diverse than the Brute.

I know that they are to very different kinds of synths, but they were the ones that appealed to me the most

I primarily make house music, but also like to experiment with other genres such as trance.

I live in a place without a store to check out the synths for myself, so YouTube and Reddit are my best friends, when it comes to choosing.

I would also be very grateful, if any of you guys have any recommendations, my budget is around 600$, but I am willing to go a bit over it, if it's really worth it.

Btw English is not my native language, so sorry for the bad grammar:-)

submitted by /u/Alfred-Horn
[link] [comments]
