Controlling more than one synth with the same keyboard?

My band and I are trying to figure out the best way to switch between two synthesizers mid-song while using a separate keyboard as the controller. I'm really not sure what it is I would need to connect it all, but we are controlling a yamaha reface cp and a roland ju-06 with a larger privia keyboard. I'm wondering if there is a way to connect them and switch between which synth the privia is controlling quickly instead of having to change the midi wires around. Some quick searching on the internet has shown the possibility of splitting it with a midi thru box. I may just be not fully understanding, but it seems that would control both synths at the same time. We just want to switch between synths as effortlessly as possible, but only playing one at a time. Is that possible and what is needed to set it up like that? Sorry if this is child's play, I'm just not sure where to look.

submitted by /u/BopsBumpsandBangerz
[link] [comments]
