Is it stupid to buy Overstayer Modular Channel?

Help,

I’ve become fixated on the Overstayer Modular Channel. When I reach this level of fixation, I feel compelled to try out the desired item and satisfy the curiosity that I have for it.

The MC is almost $3,000 though..

Am I crazy for fixating on it? It just seems very stellar for sound design and improving audio; all the modules supposedly effect each other in amazing ways.

I wince at the price sometimes and think of alternatives that don’t cost nearly as much, but this doesn’t seem to alleviate my fixation.

I am really fantasizing about hardware compression. For some reason, turning the dials seems like it would be very fun and useful for my creative process.

If anyone has any advice or support, perhaps you know what it is like to become fixated, please help me.

I have a small rack with assimil8or, quad op, and es-3/es-6 integrated with Ableton, and I mostly do sound design and modern rap/dance music.

submitted by /u/heathensacrifice
[link] [comments]
