searching for a beginner system

hey everybody! im starting to do some research diving into modular synthesis. i want to get a system to start (preferably one that i can mount to a eurorack in the future) and im stuck between a few. the mother 32 and subharmonicon are both intriguing, however the pittsburgh sv1 is also starting to pique my interest. the minibrute 2s is kind of an afterthought but still doing research into that. the real question boils down to this-those are all semimodular. is it worth it to get a decent semi and eventually attach it to a eurorack where i can build my own system? or should i get something like the pico system III where its fully modular? if you guys have any tips or points in any synths favor id appreciate it. im sure there are some specs im missing that are selling or dropping points. appreciate it!

submitted by /u/Beeps619
[link] [comments]
