It has three oscillators that each offers five synthesis algorithms. These include Waldorf-style Wavetables, classic synthesizer waveforms, a granular sampler, resonator, and more. Wavetable mode works with preset wavetables, which can also be loaded from an SD card. Waveform mode uses the classic waves while particle mode uses onboard samples. Samples can also be recorded from the rear inputs or imported from an SD card. The power and flexibility of these oscillators make the Quantum one of the most versatile synthesizers available in terms of sheer possibilities. It covers the entire spectrum from classic analog all the way up to digital. Overall, this was definitely a flagship release for Waldorf.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Roboto, RobotoDraft, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: pre-wrap; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; display: inline !important; float: none;">Waldorf's engineers spent just as much time on the aesthetics of the Quantum to produce an extremely elegant synthesizer. It features a grey metal case, silver aluminum for the trim along the sides and back as well as wood inserts on both sides. It is split into distinct sections and above the 61 keys of the keyboard, you will find the LFO section, the Oscillator section, a large touchscreen display, dual analog filter, and digital filter sections, envelope section, effects section, and output section. The aluminum dials are black and silver with multicolor LEDs to keep things even more organized.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Roboto, RobotoDraft, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: pre-wrap; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; display: inline !important; float: none;">The screen, which is crystal clear and responsive, is very useful for tweaking parameters, but the sound design is also easy using only the front panel controls. To the left of the keyboard with its high-quality FATAR TP8S keybed is the performance controls. These include the arpeggiator and Chord buttons as well as the Pitch and Mod wheels.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Roboto, RobotoDraft, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: pre-wrap; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; display: inline !important; float: none;">The rear panel of the Quantum is home to the headphones output, main and out outputs, audio inputs, pedal inputs, USB connections, SD card slot, MIDI In / Out / Thru jacks, and the jack as well as the switch for power.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Roboto, RobotoDraft, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: pre-wrap; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; display: inline !important; float: none;">While the Waldorf Quantum is not a cheap synthesizer it has more than enough features to justify the price tag. It is an extremely powerful bit of hardware with an excellent user interface and a mountain of options. The stylish design of the Quantum also makes it an eye-catching addition to any studio. If you are looking for something that will help you to unleash your creative potential, then you can't go wrong with the Quantum. </span></p>
