SV-1B and a Moog Harmonicon as first modules

Hey everyone,

This is my first post, so hello! I've recently decided that instead of just burning money to heat my home I should start getting into modular synths. I'm considering getting a harmonicon and a Lifeforms SV-1B as my first two modules, but I have three questions I could use your help with.

First, are these two modules good first steps, or should I consider something else? I was considering an 0-coast, but don't like that I couldn't rack it easily. Other ideas/ suggestions are welcome.

Second, If I get these two synths I won't be getting them at the same time, which should I get first?

Third, I was considering a neutron, but felt the sound in every demo I have seen has sounded a little thin or one dimensional. Is this just that I haven't found a good demo or has anyone else noticed this? The price is quite good for the number of features, but also want something I love the sound of.

Thanks!

submitted by /u/starsatdawnmusic
[link] [comments]
