Help with Korg NTS-1 audio mix levels... - SynthWizard - 05-24-2021 Help with Korg NTS-1 audio mix levels...

So I'm running a MicroFreak into the audio input of the NTS-1 and sequencing the NTS-1 with an SQ-1 (before sending the whole signal into a mixer where it's combined with a Volca Sample and whatever I'm running on my phone), BUT as many of you with the NTS-1 already know, the internal NTS-1 oscillator is MUCH LOUDER than the NTS-1's audio input. I already have the MicroFreak up all the way and the NTS-1 still drowns it out completely.

I have already adjusted the NTS-1's internal Global Parameter Input Trim to 0 (0db), observing barely any change.

It's been a bit since anyone's asked, so I figured I'd try again: Have any of you found a workaround for this problem?

Last time, someone floated the idea of custom oscillators that have a level setting, but I haven't actually found one yet. Maybe you've come across one like this?

Maybe there's some other solution I'm unaware of?

I'd like to close by pointing out that as amazing a deal as the NTS-1 is, the fact that you can't adjust the oscillator level (and to a lesser degree the octave you're in), is pretty much the biggest design oversight I've ever seen and yet somehow true to form for Korg.

submitted by /u/Ok_Reaction_7373
[link] [comments] |
