how to keep things sounding organic

I’ve been using FL studio 12 for about 3 years now and i’m still having a lot of difficulty keeping my volcas (beats, keys) sounding loud and full without compressing the master track into breakfast sausage. the other issue i have is the highs are really high and almost painful. i just got a new audio interface(behringer umc204hd) which helps a lot but i am really unsure how to keep everything full sounding.

edit: fl studio not go studio

submitted by /u/e_plus
[link] [comments]
