Good synth for a hardcore rave fan?

Hi all!

I'm a hardcore/gabber producer and just started going dawless. I'm looking to buy a powerful polyphonic synth in the future. I think I need a minimum of 16 voices to detune in unison to get the hardcore lead sound. I usually did this in Sylenth1, which could detune 32 in unison.

I remember making some of these sounds on the Pro-53 vst, and I really liked the synths character, so I was thinking maybe a Prophet?

The Access Virus TI2 is perfect for the genre but I think it's overpriced. I also like a machine that's more hands on and less menu diving.

Anyone know of a synth that suits my needs?

Cheers!

submitted by /u/ramonstr
[link] [comments]
