TD-3 proves disappointing when recorded

Got a TD-3 and recorded some tracks for the first time in Ableton. The TD-3 seems cool at first, well until you record and try to mix it anyway-- compared to the ABL3 it actually sounds horrible! HORRIBLE! How can this be????? I'm bewildered by how utterly awful it sounds. The ABL3 by comparison has a lot of nuance, moving the knobs really gives a full range of sounds and subtlety across the range until you crank the knobs -- the TD-3, the actual analog synth, is just like "duga duga duga duga duga duga duga," no matter what! Any one else experience anything like this? I'm going to try to use the TD-3 on some other tracks I'm working on, but so far the first one will have the ABL3 on the finished track, which has me confused and frustrated.

submitted by /u/Lumpy_Instruction649
[link] [comments]
