Newbie question for first modular synth build.

Hello. I am planning on building my first eurorack modular synth. I already own a Moog semi modular Sound Studio 3, but I want to learn full modular. I read on the FAQ the newbie guide, and they make a recommendation on some modules to start with. The full feature recommendation includes:

Tip Top Mantis Case
Mutable Instruments Plaits
Make Noise Maths
Intellijel Quad VCA
Beatstep Pro

Let´´ s say I have a slightly larger budget. I was thinking of switching the Tip Top for an Intellijel 7U with power supply, and also switching the Beatstep Pro for a Squarp Hermod. Also, I was thinking of adding a Mutable Instruments Marbles to my system. What do you think? Does it make sense to have this combination? What would you add/change/remove?

submitted by /u/pelonleg
[link] [comments]
