Suggestions for a modular starter

So basicly I've spent the last year having fun with synthvr which let's you build a modular synthesizer in vr. Now I want to finally take the plunge into hardware modular but I don't know where to start. I was in a musicstore today and tried out the erica pico system 3 desktop, I liked it, but I missed some actual sequencing options and it kinda sounded a bit harsh. I'm looking for something like the pico 3 but with more actual performance potential maybe even an actual drum synthesizer etc.

Maybe even in the same price range as the pico as im just a broke caretaker, it should still be a complete system like the pico as I don't want to be bothered with module selection at the start and just want to get a feel for it first before plunging deeper in sculpting the synth

Any tips are appreciated and thanks in advance.

submitted by /u/Obeyer
[link] [comments]
