Algorithmic/CV-controlled quantizers? (Like Marbles' steps control)

I'm looking for a quantizer that doesn't use a fixed scale (either preset or manually entered), but rather CV controlled algorithms to determine a scale. Like the "steps" control on Marbles, which starts with a scale but then gradually removes notes from the scale as you increase the control or CV. Ideally I'd like something with even more controls than that, like say a "mode" control that can morph from major to minor to locrian (and everything in between). But even "Marbles but just the steps control" module would be good.

Is there anything like this that exists outside of Marbles? Either as a standalone module or as alternate firmware for another module like O&C?

So far the closest I've found is the Tiptop QuantiZer which has CV control of scale selection, but you'd still have to manually program in the scales to make it work this way (and then manually reprogram them if you want to change the mode), so it's not really ideal.

submitted by /u/Joeltronics
[link] [comments]
