Behringer 2600 - Can I break or damage something with wrong patching?

Hello everyone,

I got interested in the modular topic some time ago. I now got a Behringer 2600 Gray Meanie. I know its only semi-modular, but I think it is a good way to learn some stuff about patching.

My question:
Can I damage the unit with wrong patching? Or can I go from every jack into every other?
I heard: "never put output to output". But how to know what is an Input and what is an output?

One example: The 2600 got 3 VCO, every waveform got a own jack. What happens if I patch multiple waveform from the same OSC to the Filter? The OSC can only have one waveform at once? Will it break something or will it just don't work?

I really want to try out stuff, to learn and play around. But now I'm just afraid to do anything because I dont know if I could break something. Can anything create a feedback loop of death for the speakers for example?

Thanks you all! Smile

submitted by /u/LockenCharlie
[link] [comments]
