I bought an M-Audio Keystation to control some stuff via MIDI (the old DIN style) stuff I am using or plan to acquire. I can't seem to get an answer from M-Audio direct, so I thought I'd ask it here. The question: Can you run the Keystation getting it's power from a USB wallwort (charger) instead of a old style 9vdc power adapater AND still use the 5 pin MIDI port? Seems like a simple Yes or No would have sufficed from M-Audio :-) Anyways, if anyone has tried this, feel free to share.

From the User Manual: Tech Specs

Power: via USB or DC 9 V, 500 mA center-positive power supply(sold separately) - not required for use with a PC or Mac

Dimensions: 39.2” x 7.44" x 2.68" (995 mm x 189 mm x 68 mm)

Weight: 9.0 lbs.
