Best place to start for under $200?

I've loved music for a long time now. I've tried learning to play an instrument before, but I always struggled to stay motivated, and got bored quickly. I really like experimental music, and I love the interesting things you can do with synths and drum machines. Because of my long history of not being able to learn instruments, I don't want to spend too much. I was thinking of buying a Korg Volca Drum, since it can be both a drum machine and a synth, and people say you can do a lot of experimentation with it. Is there anything else you would recommend for under $200, or do you agree that the Drum is the best choice for me? I was also looking at the Behringer Neutron. It looks really fun, but it's a little over budget, and I would also have to buy a keyboard for it. I was thinking on buying the neutron if I end up using and liking the Drum. Is that a good pairing? Thanks for any and all help!

submitted by /u/borntoannoyAWildJowi
[link] [comments]
