Digitone randomly disconnects [while using Overbridge]

Hello fellow Elektron users!

Hi, I have problem with my Digitone randomly loosing connection with my Overbridge and DAW.

I’m using the latest and freshly updated versions of Overbridge (2.3.9) and Digitone (OS 1.40B) and working ob Ableton 11. My computer’s operating system is Windows 11 Pro (10.0.22621 version).

Right after switching the Digitone on (while already connected via USB), the gear is not visible to my Overbridge. The ‚loading’ is visible on the device for a moment and then it disappears. Meanwhile - sometimes the device is visible to my computer - while checking on the Overbridge control panel I can see that on each track the Signal is coming to my laptop (sometimes it’s not even visible in the Overbridge control panel though).

Then after some time it just suddenly appears out of nowhere - I can choose if using plugin state, device state or cancel recall, just normally as it’s used to work before. I’m able to use it for some short period of time - receiving MIDI, playing and sending audio etc., but few minutes or seconds later it disconnects again. Then once again it appears in next few seconds/minutes. I get to choose which state I want to use again and then gone all over again.

Sometimes, after choosing state (device state) it stops on OVERBRIDGE SYNC and after time goes back to choosing state view.

I already checked all my MIDI ports and all sorts of different cables + USB hubs and converters (with both regular USB and USB-C connection) My other devices works with no issues.

Moreover, with each Digitone’s disconnection, the other MIDI controllers that are connected simultaneously stop for a brief second. And so is the sound of the whole project in general. This obviously spoils all workflow and music receiving and make it impossible to play live.

Does anyone possibly know what could be the issue or have had any similar experience / solution ? Is it some sort of hardware or software issue? I’d truly appreciate any help or insight as I’m so frustrated and upset.

Thank you in advance!

submitted by /u/aksjduiqhwfnasf
[link] [comments]
