Timestretching samplers

I’m putting together a live performance setup utilising 16 bar loops and improvised drums to essentially DJ synth line stems and the improvise drums over the top.

The current setup is modular drums and an octatrack. 7 channels of the OT for the loops and then running the modular drums into channel 8 of the OT for mixing and effects etc. This setup is wonderful because I have plenty of channels to play with and if I want to jam with someone else the timestretching on the octatrack will mean if I’m sent an external MIDI clock, all my loops will play fine regardless of the tempo.

But I want to do it all in Eurorack. The only problem being is that no Eurorack samplers have a large amount of channels and timestretching capabilities. Assimil8or would be the perfect one with it’s 8 channels and independent outs per channel, if only it had a clock input and timestretched samples.

Are there any Eurorack samplers that could replace the octatrack?

submitted by /u/Social_Conduct
[link] [comments]
