Starting in modular (finally)

I've been interested in modular for a long time and i finally decided to start working on it. This post is intended to get more ideas and inspiration from you modular enthusiasts Smile. I've always been a big fan of synths especially in combination with a live setup. Think of Soulwax and Nine inch Nails, but other big inspirations are bands like interpol and The Twilight sad. I'm really looking for that dark brooding atmosphere, heavy on drums and percussion.

Potential candidates for my rack:
• Moog DFAM - It has some great potential for drums and gritty bass.
• Expert Sleepers Disting - I saw this in combination with DFAM triggering it's sequencer.
• Noise Engineering Basimilus Itarus
• Mutable Instruments Braids

I still need a VCA, mixer, output for headphones and an input for Keyboard or/and guitarThe case i'm building myself. The Power supply is the Tiptop Audio uZeus 4HP PSU With Flying Bus Board.
2x 3U/104HP Eurorack complete row for the modules.

Any tips for the sound i'm looking for are very welcome.

submitted by /u/Ryuuki1984
[link] [comments]
