Need advice for midi to CV

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a multichannel midi to cv module for my rack. Currently using the built in midi to cv of the M32 but i want to start sequencing more voices. Ideally i want everything to run from one midi cable out of my interface into the rack. I was looking into MI yarns, vermona qmi 2 and Hexinverter Mutant Brain.

Yarns looks like a great option but i wouldn’t really use the built in sequencer (i read that the sequencer starts playing once it receives midi clock) is it possible to turn of the sequencer and still receive midi clock to send elsewhere?

Vermona qmi2 looks great as well and everythings on the panel (no menu diving) but it takes up a lot of rack space.. same price as Yarns though.

Hexinverter mutant brain looks like a great module and the cheapest option, but i saw a lot of posts with issues (notes freezing, people not getting the sysex dumps to work, gate outputs too low...)

Anyone who has one of these modules who can provide some insight? Or any alternatives that i might have missed?

Thanks in advance!

submitted by /u/tb_gereedschap92
[link] [comments]
